Beyond The Return Travel Tips

In Ghana, tipping (i.e., dashing) someone for good/great service is permitted and highly recommended in hotels, restaurants, tourist sites to guides, taxi drivers, car services, etc. It is rarely added to the bill, as may be the case in other countries. Whenever it is not added, the quality of service should dictate your generosity to the waiter, taxi driver, porter, tour guide, etc.
It is also important to understand cultural norms when it comes to service. As a general rule, good service anywhere experienced should be rewarded and you should also share your concerns when experiencing or having poor service. Sometimes, it maybe displaced cultural expectations at play and we encourage visitors to consider this aspect well.
