Upper East Region

Tongo is a small town near the Upper East regional capital Bolgatanga. The Tongo Hills is a group of mountains located south of Tongo, Ghana. The hills are located in the Ghanaian Northern Plains.
The Hills form a U-shaped valley which is opened towards the north. The rocks make strange whistling sounds during November and December when the harmattan wind blows from the Sahara throughout the Northern Region.
